This segment covers the period from 03 December 2021 to 19 March 2022(before and including majority of the long eclipses season 2021) and has 140% data volume as a baseline.

For the eclipse season the payload will be off, the preliminary dates are:

 *   C1: 25/02/2022 20:00 - 29/03/2022 14:00
 *  C2: 23/02/2022 14:00 - 31/03/2022 20:00
 *   C34: 25/02/2022 20:00 - 22/03/2022 19:00 

There is no moon eclipses during this segment.

Cluster crosses the predicted bow shock from: C2 - 24/12/2021, C1 - 26/12/2021, C34 - 04/01/2022.

The main science targets are the magnetopause, bow shock, magnetosheath, conjunctions between Cluster with MMS and/or THEMIS, and hiss origin. The primary science target is magnetosheath high-speed jets. The BM1 data for the PEACE/WHISPER cross-calibration in the magnetosheath also will be collected. 

Special operations for three BM1 intervals with good conjunctions between Cluster and MMS&THEMIS during eclipse season are also planned.
